Well, let's see: I switched to Windows 7 and Visual Studio 2008, I do not have any version of Game Maker installed, I don't feel like going through all these Game Maker 7 activation issues again, University takes up quite big chunks of my time, the list of to dos does not look like there is anything fun on it and right now I am actually having progress on some other projects. Will be kindof hard to get myself motivated for this.

So no ETA right now. But I guess, it will be done before the deadline of your competition.

I've found a bug: if you set the frame/first_frame/last_frame variables to a non-existing frame of the model's animation, the application freezes and become non responsive.

Thanks for the report, I will check this.
I've only tried it with a sequence, like if the model has 100 frames and I try to play frame 101 to 120, not for showing a single frame.

I am busy with Ultimate 3D 3.0 and other projects and I have mentioned quite often, that there are better solutions than Ultimate 3D 2.1, if you leave Game Maker.

Actually I have quite acceptable amounts of free time currently. Its just that I am spending them on other projects. And I simply won't continue work on Ultimate 3D 2.1 except for some small bug fix releases.
