It's not Microsoft's fault, it's crappy hardware/software/drivers and bad security software. My brother's new computer is great, but it crashes occasionally because it needs a BIOS update (my brother doesn't want to do it quite yet, because his computer has trouble burning because the BD-ROM drive is the main drive, as opposed to his DVD burn drive, so he would need to flip the drives). His old computer, on the other hand, despite it never being top of the line, has never crashed much (it did one time, but because he used insecure public internet), because it has always used good drivers and reliable software and hardware. |

it is, because microsoft security software lasted for only 1 year. after it ran out, pc crashed due to virus. i bought the damn suite at a store, but i had to renew the thing online (i dont have a bank account or credit card so i cant) otherwise id have to buy it at the store and waste 30$ more. screw ms and their 1 year limits. |

And what software might this be? I've never heard of this supposedly commercial Microsoft security software you're going on about. I've heard of Security Essentials, but that's freeware. There are plenty of free security programs out there. Your computer has no reason to go unprotected. AVG, Avast, Spybot: Search and Destroy, Microsoft Security Essentials, there are tons of them. If your computer crashes due to a virus, you most likely either a)didn't install an anti-virus, b)downloaded malicious software, or c)caught a virus that is new enough that there isn't any security software that can defend against it currently. |

I'm pretty sure Security Essentials replaces it. Do something and download an antivirus, and stop whining about how terrible Microsoft is. If you hate them so much, go join the Apple fanboys and try and protect an overpriced, yet still inferior machine. |

To be honest i'd like to see what we could do together as a team....  But right now work is calling and i have no hope.. i cant realy do models.. "this is the only thing holding me back" What if each of us where to take up a few people to do this. a small team if you will. "if you need a team"  What if no rules existed.  What if the deadline was this the beggining of next year..  What if i said i want to make some fire this year in U3D.. i want us to double our users here at U3D  Well there will be a few... a few we will have. You have a whole year to do this.. more than 350 days.. i think... If you submit nothing or something that took less than 1 month or is just plain bad.. He will have to add the banner of shame to his signature. There it will stay for a 2 months. The 1st place winner gets the flaming banner of victory! "a symbol of trust and proof that he is the most capable mind at U3D" 2nd place winner get the official flag boy u3d apoval of accompishment "you are great but your second, still a proud accompishmnet " I have great plans for u3d this year. if anyone is wondering what i am talking about P.M. me and i will allure you.  Lets make this year of U3D our finest. Cuz we are not small we are not few we are U3D.. So come mess with us so we can re write your dictionary. Lets get it on! Id bet ya microsoft put the virus there itself. I never have any junk on my pc, and I have a barely working virus scanner. Ima lazy bastard, I wouldnt do any good if im in a compo alone during this year (I am in my end exams period. I failed a higher level thx to my tardyness so I need to fix this exam really well so I only get trown back one year instead of four.) Edited by Reikyrr, Jan 9 2010, 08:24 PM.

If GM is not a requirement, I might end up entering. I have one more use of my key for GM, but I don't intend on using it. I'd probably try to learn PYU3D. |
